Pakistan and England Series 2020 lock horns in the final test of the
series, part of the ICC World Test Championship.
Team
Preview
England and Pakistan will meet again in Southampton for the
final Test of the series. England have taken an unassailable lead in the series
after the thrilling win at Manchester in first Test. The second Test match was
washed out. England needs a draw to clinch the series and a win can take them
ahead of the Australia in the points table of ICC World Test Championship. In
the washed out game, England bowled Pakistan out on 236 to draw some positives
and Crawley also got runs to give visitors a relief in top-order. Pakistan
could retain Fawad Alam again after the failure in his comeback Test. England
is likely to go ahead with the same XI, played in the last affair. Jofra Archer
could get the game if England try out the extra pacer but it looks dull here.
Azahar Ali’s form is also creating a tension for team management. If their
bowling unit displays the similar performance, they showed in Manchester, it
would be a great comeback story for Pakistan to end the series with a happy
note.
Pitch Report
The Rose Bowl,
Southampton will host this Test match with a rain forecast. The heavy rainfall
is already predicted so it might be a two-day affair. Pacers will have an
advantage in overcast condition and bowling first would be a good idea after
winning the toss.
