This was the most memorable time in the Indian cricket history. This was the time when India was to play against the two-time champion, West Indies, in the ICC Cricket World Cup 1983. India lost the toss and had to bat first against West Indies.

However, Kapil Dev came to the rescue and India registered its name in the history by knocking out the entire team at 140 runs.
